Chanel Pre-Fall 2012
Ornate is definitely a term we'll be hearing a lot this season. Fall 2012 is dazzling in beautiful brocade numbers and stunning jewels. Karl Lagerfeld kicked off the trend with his Pre-Fall 2012 Chanel collection titled Paris-Bombay, and we were completely seduced by the jewelled headpieces.

So was bona fide street style star, Miroslava Duma, who was photographed wearing a Chanel headpiece.
Enter Erickson Beamon and their equally impressive number, with a gold chain to be worn down the middle hair part, similar to Miroslava Duma.
Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012
Dolce & Gabbana also showed jewelled headpieces some love. Their collection, inspired by Sicilian Baroque, was perhaps the most strikingly ornamental collection this season.

Luckily for
us, Dauphines of New York designed some gorgeous pieces exclusively for
Sophie's Closet. 'Amber', featuring pearls and amber has a lovely
Eastern feel to it, and the pearl and glass one is so amazingly decadent, princess-worthy.
